Sway is a small, yet thriving village with a strong community spirit located on the southern edge of the New Forest National Park and being just four miles from the Georgian sailing town of Lymington. Its forest location makes it very popular with those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of a town but still want to be within reaching distance of all the local amenities, and the open forest is within walking distance which is great news for dog lovers.

The village is home to football clubs amongst a number of other sporting clubs and has a local Primary School, as well as shops, pubs, restaurants and hotels. Sway also enjoys a railway with good rail links from Weymouth and Bournemouth to Southampton and London Waterloo.

Perhaps, what the village is most famous for is Sway Tower which was built in the late 19th century on the private estate of Andrew Peterson and is now a Grade II listed building. The Tower can be viewed from afar and all over the New Forest, with the structure being made entirely of concrete making it the tallest non-reinforced concrete structure in the world.
